Tony Downs Foods began in 1947 when Tony Downs purchased a produce business in St. James, Minnesota. With Tony’s experience in the poultry industry, he converted the business into a poultry processing plant. Over the next couple of decades Tony’s dedication and ingenuity created a multi-million dollar company. Extraordinary leadership continues with Tony’s son, Richard Downs. Richard has expanded the business further with the addition of Double D Foods and Aussie Foods. The Downs Food Group has multi-faceted, modernized food processing facilities that are among the best in the industry. Additionally, other Downs family members, as well as the dedicated associates of the Downs Food Group, are intimately involved in consistently producing quality products and taking care of our valued customers.
